This permanent residence visa gives the ability to parent of a settled Australian citizen, permanent resident of Australia or eligible New Zealand citizen to live in Australia forever. You need to be old enough to be eligible to apply this visa, old enough to get age pension.
You must have to be in Australia when you apply this visa and also you need to be sponsored by eligible sponsor (your child). As this is permanent visa, you will get related benefits too.
The applicant must be of pension age. The pension age will be gradually increased from 65 to 67 years as set out in the table below.

‘Capping and Queueing’ is a process implemented by the immigration department of Australia for granting some of family category visas e.g. parent visa.
